The Space Between Doing and Creating

There is a moment many of us recognise.

The moment when we realise we have been moving through our day at such a pace that we have lost connection with ourselves and life itself

The days are full.

The responsibilities are many.

We are achieving, managing and responding — yet something inside us is quietly asking:

“Is this really what I want to create?”

This is the difference between living as a Human Doing and living from a deeper sense of Being.

There is nothing wrong with doing.

Our actions matter. They are how our ideas, dreams and possibilities become reality.

But when our lives become centred only around doing, and solving problem after problem, we can become disconnected from the source of our creativity.

We begin reacting to what is in front of us rather than consciously creating what we would love to bring into being.

I see this often with the leaders I work with.

They are capable, successful and deeply committed people. They have achieved so much.

Yet many have reached a point where they feel there must be more to life than this.

Not because anything is wrong with them.

But because they are ready to create from a deeper place.

Creation begins with awareness.

It begins with knowing what you want to create and becoming conscious of where you currently are.

The space between the two creates what is known as structural tension. It creates movement.

It invites you to listen, reflect, observe and make choices that are aligned with what truly matters to you.

This is where beingness becomes so important.

Beingness is not about doing nothing.

It is not about stepping away from responsibility or becoming passive.

It is about the quality of presence we bring to our lives.

Where are we coming from as we create?

Christie being in life

Are we creating from fear, pressure and the need to prove ourselves?

Or are we creating from clarity, possibility and connection with who we truly are?

The structures we create in our lives influence the results we experience.

If our days are structured around constant reaction to current reality, we will continue producing more of the same.

But when we create space to reconnect with our vision, and choose what we want consciously, something changes.

We become more available to new possibilities.

We make different choices.

We create different results.

The goal is not tofix ourselves or change ourselves.

It is to reconnect with the part of ourselves that wants to create what we truly desire.

So perhaps the question is not only:

“What do I want to create?”

Perhaps the deeper question is:

“Who am I being as I create it?”

Because every creation begins with the creator.

And when we remember that, we open the door to a very different, more fulfilling way of living.
